Malcolm Gladwell, former Evangelical?

Alissa Wilkinson of Patrol Magazine attended a panel at The New School called “Evangelicalism and the Contemporary Intellectual.” Read her article here. What surprises me is not only that Malcolm Gladwell is a former Evangelical, or that each of the panelist were able to speak openly about their former Evangelical lives. Rather, it seems as though the panelists distinguished between the “politically-powerful demographic” of Evangelicalism and Evangelical doctrine. I wish I was there.
