		<description><![CDATA[I agree that some are better than others at &#039;owning&#039; Reformed doctrine in a way that it effortlessly flows into and around their conversations with others; there should be a natural-ness about our discourse.  The first part of the problem may be, simply, that humans have lost the art of conversation.  I remember an article in The Economist (&quot;Chattering Classes&quot;) that makes a similar argument brilliantly, as does, I think, the beginning of T. David Gordon&#039;s book, Why Johnny Can&#039;t Preach.  Pastors have the responsibility, however, of not just respectful, concerned, genial conversation, but conversation that conveys theological content.  Why can&#039;t Reformed blokes do this?!  Um . . . let me think on that.  (I suspect that this has much to do with the value we place on syncing our very hearts &quot;in step with the truth of the gospel&quot; as in Gal. 2.14.)]]></description>

My personal experience with reformed pastors is that even informal conversation can be difficult because they often seem to be trying to respond with the school solution; even when there is no question.  Am I missing something?
